C.H. Robinson Receives Seven Seals Award And Three Patriot Awards For Employer Support of the National Gaurd And Reserve

Minneapolis, MN, November 10, 2008—C.H. Robinson, one of the largest non-asset based third party logistics (3PL) companies in the world, announced today that it has received the "Seven Seals" and three "Patriot" awards from the State of Minnesota for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).

C.H. Robinson vice president Jim Larsen, who accepted the award on behalf of C.H. Robinson, said, "This award is a tremendous honor for C.H. The Seven Seals award is given in recognition of a significant individual or organization for taking a leadership role that promotes the mission of ESGR. The Patriot award recognizes supportive employers and is given out on behalf of the United States Department of Defense.

Captain Les Hoffman, C.H. Robinson's Minneapolis National Accounts (MiNA), account manager, nominated the company and individuals for the awards. Hoffman has been with C.H. Robinson for over a year and has been involved with the Armed Services for over nine years. Hoffman has been called back to active duty for the Armed Services and will be leaving in December.

Paul Monteen, state chair for the Minnesota Committee of ESGR, said, "This award signifies the bond and the partnership between employers and the National Guard and Reserve members which allow us to have the best National Defense we can. We are honored to present C.H. Robinson with the Seven Seals award and are grateful for the support Les receives from them. Les is sacrificing his life, family, and time to defend our Country. Fred Willman, C.H. Robinson - MiNA branch manager, Mike Neitzel, MiNA account development manager, and Matt Babcock, MiNA special handling manager, each received a Patriot award, in recognition of their support to employees who are involved in the National Guard or Reserve. Monteen said, "We are extremely grateful to Matt, Fred, and Mike for the support they have shown to Les. Their commitment and encouragement is greatly appreciated."
